On the morning of September 26, a commemorative event was held at the Hangzhou Botanical Garden. The event centered around the historic sequoia tree linked to President Nixon, symbolizing China-U.S. friendship.

A group of American students from Zhejiang University was invited to attend. They joined approximately 50 Chinese and American guests, including U.S. delegates to the 5th World Biosphere Reserve Congress, American expatriates, and local representatives.

Co-hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government Foreign Affairs Office, the gathering aimed to  carry forward the profound historical friendship between the two nations, ensuring this unique legacy continues to grow for generations to come.
